There are five songs on the EP featuring the likes of Prince Bright of Buk Bak fame and Juni Hype.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Mani Mandela said his hopes are high on the latest EP to be his breakthrough.
“This whole project is my breakthrough and I’m particularly happy to have Prince Bright on the EP since his presence will draw more attention to it.
“I‘ve always had that inspiration of using my music to impact lives and I’m happy about the outcome and this project since this EP is intended to solve the many problems of people,” he stated.
Produced by ODB, Stone B and UK based sound engineer Dr Krane Beatz, the project was rendered in both English and Builsa languages and according to Mani Mandela, he chooses to sing in his native language because it identifies with his roots as a Northerner and also aims at pushing his local language to the world.
“The project is also meant to let the world know our Ghanaian heritage and that was why I sang in my native language because I don’t believe it is a barrier to the message I’m sending across.
“We are in Ghana yet enjoy a lot of songs we don’t understand so I can’t see why I can’t sing in my native Builsa language for other nationals,” he stated.
Born Akantoa Mandela Mani, Mani Mandela describe himself as an Afrobeat and Highlife artiste and hails from the Builsa, South District of the Upper East Region in Ghana.
He has been in the industry for over a decade before taking a break in 2016 to concentrate on his banking job. He has other songs such as Twe Ben Me, Give It To Me which features BBNz member, Mornin Tee and Forward Ever and Town Helper.
