That is the story of Joe Kwamena Yankey and Jefferson Joe who make up the duo Levites, a Gospel music group on a mission to push the agenda of “kingdom business,”
Their first song, Adom, produced by Dr Ray talks about how people take God’s blessings for granted and are always at their wits end because they think they are self-sufficient.
“The song is about the grace of God, it explains what grace is and the reason why we need it in our lives. Many people fail to appreciate grace but it is the very ingredient that is keeping us alive.
“Our main aim is that when people listen to this song, they will repent and accept Jesus Christ so they can have everlasting life,” they said.
For now, the duo is managing and financing their music projects themselves but told Graphic Showbiz that their doors are open for any record label that wants to invest in them.
“We don’t have a record label but our doors are always open if any label wants to work with us. This is our first official song but unfortunately, it is not getting attention and that is the more reason why a record label or management team will go a long way to push us,” they added.
Even though they are not signed to any record label or management company, Levites mentioned some people who had been very instrumental in their career.
“We are thankful to everyone who has helped us especially the head pastor of Realities of Heaven Ministry, Prophet Francis Kofi Annan at Kumasi and the head pastor at the Accra branch O.B Nelson for encouraging us to come out with this song,” he noted.
