She tackles the subject on her new single, Fa Ma Me featuring Smokey Beatz and the song urges women to be bold when it comes love.
According to Obaa L, Fa Ma Me, produced by DatBeatGod, was released to encourage women to take that bold step and approach any man they like.
She said many women who took such opportunities are happily married and no one is the wiser about who made the first approach.
“There's always the perception that men have to approach ladies but it's difficult for women to ask men out. That’s what the song is about, It’s to encourage women to also take that bold step when they meet the man they want.
“It shouldn’t be a crime for a woman to ask a man to love them. If you like a person and you can’t also approach, you may end up losing him. We can also take that bold step to get what we want, after it ends in marriage, who cares whose heart beat first?” she told Graphic Showbiz.
Fa Ma Me is the first single from Obaa L, formerly known as Lotty, under her new record label, Holy Diamond Records and her expectation is for the song to make impact.
“My expectation for this song is to reach many people especially the women. It’s been a little over a week since the song was released and we are grateful to say things are going well.
“We hope and believe that we will deliver with this song. When our message becomes normal, we Will all see that finding love will be simple without stress." she said
Obaa L born Loretta Asare, has been singing for the past four years and has songs such as Ebeyeyie featuring Obibini, Krokro Me and Do Your Own to her credit.
Her desire is to bring joy and happiness to people by doing what she loves best, which is singing.
