According to Creative Director Velma Owusu-Bempah, “It is a celebration of the brave women that fought for the nation’s liberation and a tribute to our ancestors who were taken captive into a foreign land, 400 years ago.”
Inspired by the true African wax textiles and Gold Coast fashion, this collection pays homage to these women while presenting an artistic evolution with an explosion of fine craftsmanship by the brand’s atelier in Accra.
Fusing old Ghanaian wax print with modern vitality, the classic pieces are made with crystals from Swarovski, mother of pearls, velvet, cowries sea shells, laces and raw Silk which gives an interesting edge and transforms your look into pure elegance.
Pieces from the collection include the crowns which have been worn by actress Joselyn Dumas, Turban hats, headwraps, bandeaus and percher hats that can be worn on all occasions and the perfect accessory for a bad hair day.
