Born Richmond Nyarko, Diamond who is also a national service person with Graphic Showbiz is vying for the Student Blogger of the Year award and he is very confident he will beat his challengers on the night.
“For the past two years, I have been nominated in the Best Blogger category at GIJ Eminence Awards but unfortunately, I lost out on the awards both times but I am very hopeful I will win this one,” he said.
Diamond’s dream of grabbing the Best Student Blogger Award can only be possible through the number of public votes he earns and he pleaded with the public to vote for him to make his dream come true.
“I can only emerge a winner if I get the highest number of votes so I’m pleading with the public to vote for me to get me to the top spot. Besides, I have worked hard over the years to be recognised,” he stated.
The founder of Diamond GH Promo, an entertainment blogging site, Diamond started blogging about three years ago when he was in school.
He has blogged about some of the prominent showbiz personalities including Shatta Wale, Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie and Lydia Forson.
However, he said the purpose for establishing the blog was to give attention to up and coming artistes who mostly don’t have the platform to publicise their works.
CBaze Awards is an awards scheme designed to recognise and celebrate the hard work and dedication of students and personalities across Ghana who have excelled in their various endeavours.
The award scheme also seeks to encourage students to be industrious and entrepreneurial-minded while in school.
