He has dropped a track titled Bounce and according to him, the piece, produced by MOG Beatz, was released to coincide with his birthday which was on Saturday, February 22.
Ray James mentioned that the song, which he co-wrote with Rufftown Records boss Bullet encourages people to appreciate birthdays and celebrate them in style since they are special occasions.
“Bounce is not just a song to celebrate my birthday but a way of telling the world that birthdays are special and we must always thank God for them. It was also to give my fans insight into how my birthday celebration will go,” he said.
Being his first song to drop under Rufftown Records after almost two years, Ray James, formerly known as Snow B asked fans to judge his performance on Bounce.
He said he had no plans of going on a media tour to promote the song but was hopeful it would still do well on the market.
“It is said that patience is a key element of success and that is why despite the pressure to exit Rufftown after being with them for two years and not releasing any song, I still stayed loyal. Now, Bounce is barely a week and already, I’m getting attention because it is a good song,” he stated.
Born Raymond Boateng, Ray James hails from Takoradi in the Western Region and first caught the public’s attention as the first runner up at the MTN Hitmaker Season 3.
He has worked with the likes of Wendy Shay, Kofi Kinaata, Kuami Eugene and Adina and previously dropped songs including No Time to Play, Kwansema and Obaa.
