Bra Desmond to honour his mother

WHILE some parents do all they can to dissuade their children from venturing into show business, it has been the opposite for new Highlife artiste Bra Desmond.

His mother, has been so supportive eversince he expressed interest in doing music that she is one of the reasons that keep him going on the path he has chosen.

Inspired by his mother who runs a coldstore, Bra Desmond, real name Desmond Antwi Boasiako told Graphic Showbiz in an interview last week, she had been his utmost motivation to climb the ladder of success.

He described how most times, he watched in admiration as his mother sang word for word all his songs.

“My mother is so passionate about my career and has been a very important player in my team. She even edits some of my works when I consult her and has been helping me to work hard to ensure I live up to being one of the best from the West. You know the Western Region boasts of some the best artistes in Ghana,” he added.

To him, featuring his mother on one of his works will be his greatest achievement and he is working on a song with her to showcase her rapping skills.

“We haven’t arrived on the title for the song but I’m very proud to have a supportive mother. I even intend to name my upcoming album after her,” he said.

Born and raised in Bogoso, Western Region, Bra Desmond publicly started music in 2013 and has come out with some good songs such as Famame and Nkakra featuring Fameye, Y3 Wo Adze with Afedze Perry, Akosua ft Patapaa and Praise featuring Ayesem.

Describing himself as a versatile artiste, he is one of the music toasts in the Western region but anticipates expanding his influence across the country with his yet to be released album.
