The 19 edition of the Awards is scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 14 at the Accra International Conference Center with the release of the nominees kick-starting the jamboree.
Initially slated for Friday, the release of the nominees’ list is scheduled to begin from 11:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday.
Exclusive rights owners Media General will release the list online (3news.com) and on TV (TV3) and radio (3FM, Onua FM, Akoma FM and Connect FM) and spread across all its social media platforms.
Charterhouse, Ghana Music Awards and Vodafone Ghana will also simultaneously release the list on social media.
The hourly release of the categories will exclude Song of the Year, Album of the Year and the topmost Artiste of the Year, which will be unveiled at the Nominees Announcement Party slated for Saturday night at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.

* Highlife Song of the Year
* Hiplife Song of the Year
Midday
* Hip-hop Song of the Year
* Reggae/dancehall Song of the Year
* Afro-pop Song of the Year
1:00pm
* Gospel Artiste of the Year
* Highlife Artiste of the Year
* Reggae/dancehall Artiste of the Year
2:00pm
* Songwriter the Year
* Record of the Year
* Best Music Video of the Year
3:00pm
* Best Male Vocal Performance
* Hiplife/hip-hop Artiste of the Year
* Best Female Vocal Performance
* Best Group of the Year
4:00pm
* Best Rapper of the Year
* Best Collaboration of the Year
* African Artiste of the Year
* Best New Artiste of the Year
