According to him, musicians must help efforts at combating the virus by continually educating their fans on preventive measures and also join forces to fight for a common good.
He told Graphic Showbiz, this was the time for artistes to support their fans because they make them who they are.
"We have to educate our fans because a lot of people don't know a lot about COVID-19. We must educate them on things they have to do to avoid getting the virus or what to do to prevent the virus from spreading.
"We also have to donate to them in these difficult times which is what I have been doing for the past three months because they help us make money by buying our music and paying to watch our performances. I can’t force anybody but we need to think of where we will be without our fans if they die,” he said.
Koo Ntakra added that just like his colleagues, the pandemic has affected him as an artiste because he has had to put all
events and promotions on hold due to the ban placed on social gatherings.
"I have been in the house for about two months; we all know Easter is a good season for many artistes as they make money playing at several shows but because of COVID-19 we couldn’t make anything.
"It has affected promotion as well. I released a single before COVID-19 got into Ghana but promotion has become a problem now. The only medium of promoting that song is through social media which is making it a little difficult," he added.
Koo Ntakra, who is now into a social media interactive show titled Time With KOK
(King of Kofcity) says he wants to use the programme to inspire, entertain and educate his fans on how to put their talent to work while giving them updates on what he is up to apart from music.
